Changzhou MADE Automation Co., Ltd. is a wholly foreign-owned engineering and equipment company specializing in food-processing technology, complete production lines and industrial automation integration. Founded by a Ph.D. engineer with professional experience in major European and American multinational companies, MADE also maintains technical cooperation with universities and specialist engineering organizations in China.

SITE PROJECT / INDIA UP

Two dryer trains. One complete potato-processing line.

The front end follows washing → steam peeling → brush peeling → sorting → slicing → spray rinsing → blanching → cooling → steam cooking. Site footage introduces preparation, drum drying, downstream handling and packing. Two drum dryers provide a combined design finished-product capacity of approximately 1.1 t/h.

Equipment and process features

From dried sheet to packed product

Preliminary sizing prepares the material for pneumatic impurity separation, followed by final sizing, conveying and screening.

Flake route
Accepted flakes from both screens are collected in a common flake hopper.
Powder route
Small flakes are milled and pneumatically conveyed into a common powder hopper.
Packing sequence
Both routes: metal detection → weighing and filling → inner PE bag heat sealing → outer bag sewing → finished-product conveying.

MADE supplied 2040 drum dryers, flake-forming machines and associated equipment for four production lines at a Chinese infant food manufacturer. Each main drum measures 2 m in diameter and 4 m in length.

Pneumatic impurity separator

Removes fibres, dark specks and heavier impurities after preliminary sizing. It separates impurities and does not crush material.

Cyclone conveyor & rotary airlock

Variable airflow, filtered dust collection and a cleanable rotary airlock support controlled material transfer.

Final flake sizing unit

Quick-change screens configure flake sizing; a separate outlet discharges secondary lumps.

Vacuum conveying & vibrating screen

Enclosed transfer with pulse-cleaned stainless filters; screening separates accepted flakes from smaller pieces.

Powder grinder

Smaller flakes are milled for the powder route; variable speed and screen selection balance fineness and throughput.

Inner PE bag heat sealer

Pneumatic clamping with adjustable heating temperature, sealing time and cooling time.

Outer bag sewing & conveyor

Triggered bag sewing and pneumatic thread cutting; adjustable conveyor speed and height.

PLC / HMI line control

Automatic/manual modes, pressure and temperature feedback, machine interlocks, alarms, recipes and event logging.

Can we start with one dryer and expand later?+

Yes. The shared upstream can be sized for future output; a second pressurized feed, drum dryer and downstream train can be added later.

What is needed for a proposal?+

Product and recipe, feed rate, target moisture and flake size, steam pressure, power standard, water, air, building size and local standards.

Do you provide the full process package?+

Yes: process study, mass balance, equipment, controls, PFD/P&ID, layout, utility schedule, FAT, installation guidance and commissioning support.

Can you run trials?+

Pilot trials are recommended for new recipes, especially mixed cereals, proteins and starch products.
